There were a couple of relatively minor signs yesterday of what we can all expect at Stratford. The two digital clocks (in the corners on the west side) were turned off during the first half, forcing us to check the time on the big screens, which were showing adverts. Then, at half time, rather than showing the half time scores, the TVs in the Chicken Run showed...you guessed it, loads more adverts. What the fuck. There's more and more evidence that, as far as the Board are concerned, all we are is a marketing opportunity. And so the Stratford nightmare begins...welcome to the 'West Ham experience'.

Wear a watch with a timer?!
It's 2014, like every one in the stadium is going to wear a timer when there is 2 massive screens showing the time on.
If they don't show injury time just to protect the ref then that's a bit silly, we all know it is a MINIMUM added time so if he went over then that is the referee's choice.
Hope they end up adding injury time to the screen.

Speaking of clocks, I need a new alarm clock. Don't want to use my phone. Used to have a Chumby (essentially a "smart" alarm clock) but it died, so now I'd like another smart alarm clock.
Any suggestions?

Start it when the ref blows his whistle.

I've also always wanted to be able to see the injury time running on the clock. I am sure that I have been to other grounds which do so, so don't think it's illegal.

Don't see what the big issue is.
One thing I'd like is a clock to show how much time is left of injury time as once you hit the 90th/45th minute you never know when the ref will end play.
Regarding checking scores on your phone I haven't had signal at our place since I've been going, on EE.

This is the first season I've been able to get reliable data over there, and I think that's only because I've moved onto a 4G tariff. Prior to that it's been pretty much unusable

The graphics on the big screens used for substitutions etc for the last couple games have been shocking. Look like they were made on a shitty BBC computer in the late 80's

I reckon they probably figure almost anyone who wants to will check the scores on their phone throughout the game and at half time anyway so the screens become slightly redundant in that respect.

No problem with them using the screens, they do however need to make the clock a bit bigger! Couldn't read the thing!
